Behind the Lens
How the studio works, the gear behind the images, and the philosophy that has driven 18 years of fitness photography. The stuff you do not see in the final gallery.
The Studio
The Bailey Photography Studio is an 8,000 sq ft private creative campus in Nottingham. The flagship space is a 3,000 sq ft gym studio with Watson and Eleiko equipment, professional lighting on stands, booms, and rig systems, wall-to-wall mirrors, and a completely private environment.
It is not a white-wall photography studio. It is not a commercial gym with a camera in the corner. It is a purpose-built training floor designed from day one for fitness photography. Everything in the space exists to make clients look their best.

The Process
Every session follows the same core process, refined over 18 years:
Before the day: You book, receive the free Photoshoot Prep Guide, and prepare using the guidance inside. For Launch and Campaign packages, a planning call designs the session around your specific goals.
On arrival: A quick chat about what you want from the session. Christopher sets up the first look and starts directing. Every shot is fully directed. You do not need to know how to pose.
During the session: You move through different setups, outfits, and areas of the studio. The pace is relaxed but purposeful. Music playing, conversation flowing. Most people are genuinely enjoying it by the halfway mark.
After: Your edited gallery is delivered within 48 hours. High-resolution files ready for print, social media, and anything else you need.
